It started with Ashokbhai, a counter, and a promise.
The Ashoka journey began in 1991, in Maktupur મકતુપુર — a small village near Unjha where Ashokbhai started trading. There was no signboard, no shop floor — just an honest exchange of fabric for fair prices, and a name that families slowly came to trust.
For twenty-four years — from 1991 to 2015 — Ashoka stayed rooted in Maktupur, serving the village and surrounding families. In 2015, Ashokbhai finally opened the first proper retail store in Unjha town. The promise stayed exactly the same: hand-pick every piece, mark one fair price, treat every customer like a neighbour.
By 2024, the Unjha store had outgrown its walls. We moved into a much larger showroom in town, with proper space for the full range — clothing for the whole family, plus daily-life essentials. And in 2026, we opened a second showroom in Pratham Estate, near Dethli Char Rasta, Sidhpur, so Sidhpur's families can shop the Ashoka way, too.
